The article is devoted to the actual problem of methods of teaching fine arts in primary schools. In the course of the study, the authors consider various approaches to teaching elementary school children the basics of drawing and painting, taking into account their age characteristics and the level of cognitive development. Special attention is paid to the use of innovative methods, including interactive technologies and creative approaches, in order to stimulate creative thinking and imagination of students. The article presents empirical data confirming the effectiveness of certain techniques, as well as recommendations for teachers and educators on optimizing the process of teaching fine arts in elementary grades. The research has practical significance for the development of effective teaching strategies that promote the development of students' creative potential.
